Portland Retreat

I've been on a little hiatus, but I'm back in action. I went on a working retreat right after Christmas for 7 days to try and play "catch up" on my book project. I thought I'd share some of my Portland fav's: 1. One of the reasons I go to Portland is their great public transportation. Getting around is really easy and affordable. 2. Mmmm...Blueplate. 3. This was one of probably 5 different ice cream runs at Salt & Straw. 4. Powell's Books--I think it's the largest independent book store in the world and I, of course, buy socks. 5. Voodoo Doughnut--say no more. 6. Guys trying to sell crack pipes outside of Voodoo Doughnut to people in line (there were no takers, by the way). 7. My family's doughnut order (there's another layer underneath that one) that I had to carry home on the plane. 8. "Italian Ramen" from Grassa...double-Mmmmm.

In addition to eating, I did manage to get 4 projects complete. Thanks B.G.for taking care of the kids. TNNA here I come...
